I’d pretty much given up on the idea of rollerblading ever being a creditable activity until I read this Jeremy Beightol interview. He’s just a regular guy who wasn’t content with how things where and stepped up and did something about it. He sums up what I’ve been thinking for a long time, and I think it’s time people took notice and had some more faith in themselves. This isn’t an endorsement for Kaspa but a shout out to someone who’s on the right track and deserves some respect.

Damn, I found these GC t-shirts the other day. I know they’ve been out for a while but the industry is saturated with so many crapy designs that I’ve stopped paying attention. Anyways, like I said,I found these and I really like them. Further more they’re designed by Jan Welch. I would say they’re the best t-shirts on the market. What do you think? ps: keep your eyes peeled for some wigwam t-shirts.

Sean Cullen/Inricloth interview.

Here is an interview I conducted a month or so ago with Sean Cullen. It was featured on the kingdom Mag web site and on Be-mag.

Sean Cullen is back! This time the controversial film maker returns with a new clothing line that is sure to turn heads. INRICLOTH boast an impressive range of t-shirts, hoodies, Jeans and shirts with original and cutting edge design. Sean managed to take some time out from watching Seinfeld to answer some questions about his new line……..

Ok i did this while watching seinfeld so let me know if anything on here stanmds out as stupid or if you are not able to understand it.
No problem! Can you introduce yourself and tell me a bit about your background in Art/design/film?
Yeah sure, my name is Sean Sea, I am a proffessional rollerblader and I make music videos and have a new clothing line. Before that I was pretty dedicated to graffiti and was all city SF for the years of 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. But I got in alot of beef cuz I was the only punk rock writer in the city and everybody hated on me and it was real tough going against a city full of wannabe thugs when your wearing girls jeans and shit, so I got in alot of beef and got beat up alot, and had alot of anger which I took out on things like girls, skating and art, all of which I was able to progress in rapidly and then my dedication turned from the walls to…. wallrides!?
How do you think your new clothing line fits into to the rollerblading industry?
I would never want anything I do to “fit in” to anything, anyone that knows me knows this. This line will stand out in the industry due to simply the quality and style of the jeans and garments and also the fact that we have the sickest riders in the industry pushing the cloth.

Is this entirely your project or are working with others and if so who?
I have a factory of elves that make the cloth and I have a sales team that does the sales so I dont actually really do much beyond design, and I do the blog
Do you think skating is lacking anything at the moment? If so what?
Originality, I dont know how much rollebrlading specifically has contributed to the mecca of action sports lifestyles creatively

What inspired the designs?
Id say a mixture of Inner fire of the spirit, motivation, punk rock, art, religion, dedication, faith, harmony and bloody murder.
Are you aiming to reach out beyond the rollerblading community?
Yes that is the idea, creating brilliant, unique and innovative holy cloth that will help rollerblading grow and be seen for what it really is.
For those who don’t know could please talk about the things/people outside of rollerblading that motivate, inspire and inform you. For example musicians, artist , writers etc..
Id say most of my inspiration and creativity comes from the music that i am exposed to.
You have a really amazing line up of skaters representing you. What do you look for in a skater when choosing representatives?
I chose the riders that I thought would best represent rollerblading and best fit with the style of the crew, I look for riders that have a good balance of savagery and precision/control

Are there any skaters you think we should be looking out for in the future?
Kevin Yee, Danny Murder and Hayden Ball are my aces for the new DVD “The Apple R.I.P SF” and they are all megarippers.
Can you tell us about any of your future film plans?
Well now that the Apple trilogy is finished i am gonna be putting all of my film direction and creativity into inricloth projects.
How do you stay motivated in a community that seems so quick to forget and can, at times take ages to catch on?
the stupidity that floats around the air in this planet can sometimes be as prevalent as the oxygen within, but its only the oxygen in the air that will make it harder or easier for me to breath.
Is it fair to say you’re the Charles Bukowski of the skating world?
sure that sounds about right, you can call me the hurdy gurdy man from skid row!! hahha thats funny cuz I work on skid row too!!
And finally the question we have all been dying to know, what does INRI mean?
Well it originally meant “This is Jesus, HE is king” and that was the meaning that the jews had given it as it was inscribed on the actual crucifix that jesus was killed upon but then it was later adopted by the Romans in medieval times as a term refering to the inner fire of the spirit, they were condemned and the meaning was actually outlawed at the time and there was never again in history another word or expression referring to this so called “Inner fire of the Spirit” UNTIL NOW……. so a lot of people at first glance say like “oh thats some strange Christian brand or something” but its actually just a coincidence that Jesus is actually featured on one of the shirts and its not because he has anything to do with the company, its simply because Jesus had a strong inner fire of the spirit as well and was a great man that we can all learn from, I am not even Christian but I am educated about Jesus, I know he did exist and was a great man. So to make a long story short we are not a Christian brand but we are not Anti-Christian either. I knew it would be kind of controversial but the people who wanna know the truth and understand the realness will do so and benefit from it and the people that choose to remain ignorant will remain ….ignorant.
